The silovik now heads the criminal investigation department.

In the Irkutsk city of Usolye-Sibirskoye, Investigator Denis Klimnyuk, who had destroyed material evidence in the case of a tortured woman, has been promoted and become the head of the local criminal investigation department, Sibir.Realii reports.

As previously reported by The CrimeRussia, Klimnyuk destroyed the bench, to which, according to the case file, the mother of many children was handcuffed in the Usolsky police department. There should have been traces of handcuffs on the piece of furniture, however, the police officer and his colleagues dismantled the bench and threw it into a garbage dump.

Sergey was charged with evidence tampering; he also replaced the victim's jacket, which she was wearing at the time of torture in the Usolye police department. The investigation believes that the investigator thus wanted to hide traces the stun gun left on the piece of clothing.

The investigator explained the destruction of evidence by the fact that the bench “was not reflected in the inventory value.” By the way, the interior object was not the only thing that disappeared. According to rights defenders, half of the testimony collected in the case of torture disappeared. In addition, the stun gun and handcuffs, which were used for interrogation, as well as the woman’s down jacket, were not seized as material evidence.

In February 2019, the IC in the Irkutsk region terminated the case of torture of Ruzayeva for the fourth time, since the fact of the crime and the guilt of the police were not revealed in the course of the investigation.
