The cost of premises rented in Khabarovsk is comparable to the price of top-class offices in the center of Moscow.
The company Beys LLC, controlled by the former governor of the Khabarovsk Territory, Viktor Ishayev, leased Rosneft an office for 13.7 million rubles ($ 210,000), which is comparable to the price of premises in the center of Moscow, RBC reports. The area of the rented premises exceeds 280 sq. m., which means the cost of one square meter was slightly less than 50,000 rubles ($ 770) per year.
The companies concluded the lease agreement in 2015. At that time, Deputy PM of the Khabarovsk Territory Government Vladimir Khlapov was the director of Beys, while Ivashev held the post of Vice President of Rosneft.
On March 28, Ivashev and Khlapov, as well as head of the regional office of Rosneft Gennady Kondratov were detained by law enforcement officers.
