Deputy head of Volodarsky district detained for bribery in Bryansk

The official - for payment - turned a blind eye to unauthorised fur-tree open-air markets on New Year's Eve.

Deputy head of Volodarsky district administration of a city of Bryansk Oksana Puntus has been detained for taking a bribe from an entrepreneur.

The media office of the Office of Investigations of Russia's Investigative Committee in Bryansk region reported the criminal case under item 3 of article 290 of Russia’s Criminal Code has been initiated against the official.

The investigation theory is that in December, 2018, the deputy head of the district administration received 50 thousand rubles ($762) through an intermediary. For this amount, Oksana Puntus did not prevent unauthorised fur-tree open-air markets in the territory of the district.

The crime was discovered by police representatives. At the present time, the detainee’s measure of restraint is being chosen. The criminal case is ongoing.
