A few criminal cases have been initiated against head of Babayurtovsky district Eldar Karagishiev.

Head of Dagestan’s Babayurtovsky district Eldar Karagishiev has been detained, reports RIA Novosti with reference to the local administration.

It is noted that employees of the Republic’s directorates of the Federal Security Service, MIA and the Investigative Committee of Russia.

Criminal cases under item 2 of article 292 (Official Forgery) and item 4 of article 160 (Misappropriation or Embezzlement) and item 2 of article 285 (Abuse of Official Powers) of Russia’s Criminal Code.

The investigation theory is that Karagishiev appropriated the money allocated for reconstruction of a park in a settlement of Babayurt and reconstruction of streets in a settlement of Lvovskoye.

At the present time, searches in Karagishievs’s house and office, as well as in the office of CEO of OOO Bisma Mairbek Budaev are being carried out.

The day before, Moscow’s Basmanny court placed head of Dagestan’s Derbentsky district Magomed Jelilov in a remand prison in a case related to 3 instances of embezzlement with use of official powers (item 4 of article 160 of Russia’s Criminal Code).
