Anapa judge suspected of fraud divested of authority

For the committed disciplinable offense, Vladimir Starodubtsev was brought to administrative responsibility.

The Higher Judges’ Qualifications Board of the region the Krasnodar Territory divested Vladimir Starodubtsev, a judge of the Anapsky District Court, of authority and the fifth qualification class for committing a disciplinable offence, the Board reports. Earlier, the Board allowed to bring Starodubtsev to criminal responsibility in the case of attempted swindling (part 3 of Article 30 and part 4 of Article 159 CCRF).

According to investigators, Starodubtsev extorted 50 million rubles ($ 760,000) and 10 acres of land from a Muscovite for making a decision recognizing his ownership of a plot of land in the coastal zone of the village of Bolshoy Utrish, next to the restaurant of the judge’s son, built with a number of environmental and town planning violations.
